Krithika Sreenivasan

Rooted in Karnatik music, Krithika is deeply engaged in conceptualising and composing music for thematic concerts. Her creative work includes reimagining Kannada poetry—from the classical period to the modern era—through Indian classical and world music idioms, reflecting an ongoing dialogue between literature, tradition, and contemporary musical expression.
An arts manager with over three decades of experience in performance, pedagogy, and concert conceptualisation, she is also a management professional from IIM Kozhikode. She has been awarded the Junior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for research at the intersection of culture and economics, underscoring her commitment to integrating artistic practice with professional and institutional frameworks.
A strong advocate for arts integration in education, her work emphasises the role of music in nurturing social-emotional learning, particularly in early childhood. Her research on music education and socio-emotional development has been published in an international conference journal, and she regularly presents, conducts lecture-demonstrations, and engages in arts advocacy across cultural and educational platforms.
As a music educator, she has taught students across age groups, designed curriculum content, led workshops, and introduced countless children to the joys of music. Krithika is specially passionate about curating experiential arts programmes for children and inter-generational families, using the arts as a medium for connection, learning, and shared cultural experiences.
She has co-authored a book with her mother Prof Geetha Sreenivasan, titled "Alpaayushi Mahan Sadhakaru - Sangeetagararu (Great Musicians Who Died Young), documenting the lives of musicians who died young, which is also available as an audiobook in Kannada and English, accompanied by musical performances across digital platforms.
Aditi Krishnaprakash stands as an accomplished carnatic classical violinist, emerging as one of the leading performers in the realm of Carnatic classical music within the present generation. Commencing her violin journey at the age of 4, Aditi's artistry has evolved under the guidance of violin maestros Ganakalabhushana Vidwan H. K. Narasimha Murthy and Sangita Kalanidhi Vidwan R. K. Sriramkumar.
Known for her aesthetic approach & rich tone, Aditi has cultivated a distinctive style in playing the violin that resonates with sophistication and steeped in classicism.
In 2025, Aditi achieved a remarkable milestone by earning the "Top-Grade" from the All India Radio, making her one of the youngest violinists to receive such recognition. Since then, she has been a featured performer in numerous All India Radio National programs and Sangeet Sammelans. Aditi is a recipient of the Ananya Yuva Puraskar and has been awarded Best Violinist by The Music Academy, Madras on two occasions. She has also been awarded the Ministry of Culture, Government of India scholarship for classical music.
Aditi's journey in the world of Karnatik classical violin is a testament to her talent, dedication, and contributions to the rich tapestry of Indian classical music.
A leading mridangam artiste and one of the few women performing professionally on the instrument in India, Deepika is trained initially under Vidwan Nandyala Ramamurthy and currently under the tutelage of Vidwan Patri Satish Kumar.
A recipient of the Ministry of Culture Scholarship for Young Artistes, Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy Music Scholarship and Junior Fellowship for a research on women percussionists in India, Deepika has also received the Udayonmukha Prathibhe award, the Vellore Ramabhadran Endowment, and the Amruthur Janaki Ammal Endowment.
She has performed extensively across India and internationally, including as part of Anuradha Pal’s Stree Shakti for an ICCR tour of Europe, and has toured the UK. As a mentor for the British Council’s UK_IN Together Season of Culture, she guided young musicians from India and the UK in creating original music.
Deepika also works across ensemble direction and collaborative music-making. Her projects include directing a percussive ensemble in the complex Chapu Taala Maalika and arranging music for Kannada Kavya Kamanabillu, a project exploring classical Kannada poetry through Carnatic music. She holds a Vidwath degree in Mridangam with distinction and a B.E. in Computer Science.
